AT&T® Joins The CEO Action For Diversity And Inclusion Business Commitment

Action For Diversity And Inclusion

AT&T®, the fastest internet provider in the US, along with 150 CEOs of other major business ventures have collectively agreed to join one of the biggest CEO-driven business commitment. Together they will mutually collaborate and sign with the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion for advancing the diversity and inclusion in workplaces.

Under this collaboration, the CEOs of major businesses have come together in promoting a workplace that accommodates all kinds of distinctive perspectives and experiences. It also involves a more respectful and cordial atmosphere for the employees and an open platform for discussions based on diversity and inclusion.

Randall Stephenson, Chairman and CEO of AT&T® said, “At its core, diversity is not about tolerating our differences – it’s about understanding them. And that requires a commitment to honest and open dialogue. I’m proud to work with my fellow CEOs to help make that a reality in the workplace.”

The CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion is a collective body that is run by a group of CEOs and managers from leading firms such as Accenture, BCG, PwC, General Atlantic, New York Life, P&G, etc. It is, in fact, a broader coalition that encompasses more than fifty industries from all the states in the US the millions of employees serving globally.

Tim Ryan, U.S. chairman and senior partner for PwC stated, “We are living in a world of complex divisions and tensions that can have a significant impact on our work environment. Yet, it’s often the case that when we walk into our workplace – where we spend the majority of our time – we don’t openly address these topics.”

Television And Internet Packages

AT&T®, by signing into this collaborative commitment, has thereby highlighted the importance of diversity in workplaces and ways to enhance them. By doing so, it ought to improve the television and cheap internet packages that it offers to millions of its customers in the US.

Every one of the signatories of the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion commitment is required to undertake a fostering of the workplaces for encompassing a more open dialogue on diversity and inclusion. For this, a suitable environment will be created by the companies along with numerous forums and platforms for employees to share as well as understand their various perspectives and experiences.

Moreover, the companies will initiate education for aiding employees for betterment of their communication with fellow employees. The companies will also share their practices for advancing their existing strategies.
