Charter® Customers Experiences Another Outage

Customers Experiences Outage

The strike involving approximately 2000 employees of Charter Communications® in New Jersey and New York has entered into the sixth month. The strike between Charter Communications® and their workers began by the end of March and it involves approximately 1,800 members from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3. Charter® customers has been experience outage issues over the last few months due to vandalism and cut cables since the beginning of the strike.

The latest outage of the kind happened a few days ago in Brooklyn and Queens. Reports from several reliable sources indicate that the recent outage has affected more than tens of thousands of Charter® customers in both the regions. However, customers are hopeful that Charter Communications®, who is one of the best internet providers in the United States, will fix the issues as soon as possible.

In a recent announcement, the officials from the telecom company confirmed that they are working hard to bring service back to customers after the recent accident. Charter® said, “Our repair crews have been working tirelessly throughout the night to restore service as quickly as possible, and we expect gradual restoration during the day. We appreciate our customers’ patience as we do. We are also working with the NYPD on an investigation of this latest round of criminal destruction of our network.”

Vandalism And Cut Cables

The officials from Charter® also added that they are viewing the latest incident not as a mere accident but as an intentional act of vandalism. The telecom company has not yet connected these outages with the employees’ strike. However, Charter® did comment that they have identified over 100 network vandalism acts ever since the walkout of employees. There were only four such outages in the last three years prior to the beginning of the strike.

On the other hand, the representatives of IBEW Local 3 have not yet commented on the issue but reports suggest that they will soon shed light on the same issue. However, the union has already claimed that none of their members were involved in such an act of vandalism. In addition to that, they also condemned such actions.

Reports claim that both the parties are still having negotiations to solve the issue but it might take a bit longer. Despite all the outages and other issues, your best bet at acquiring a cheap internet deal is still Charter Communications®.
