DirecTV Subscribers Offered Unlimited Data From AT&T

DirecTV Packages

It is a while now since AT&T, the multinational telecommunication corporation, acquired DirecTV. Ever since the acquisition, AT&T is seen introducing new packages and contracts that are aimed to flatter customers. One of the tricks that the company seems to be very fond of is offering combined packages. And now, the company claims to offer “first-ever nationwide package of TV and wireless services—all from a single provider on one bill, with special discounts.”

The first such offer was introduced in last August. The deal required customers to sign a 24-month contract and they would get unlimited talk and text for four wireless lines, HD and DVR service for four TV receivers and 10GB of sharable wireless data at $200 per month.

AT&T To Become The Largest Pay-TV Provider

AT&T is all set to become the largest pay-TV provider in the U.S. now. The responses from customers, after the company acquired DirecTV and introduced bundled packages, indicate that they are quite excited. AT&T has all the favorable sides now to jump ahead of Comcast and become the largest pay-TV provider in the country.

Customers Can Save Up To $600 In 12 Months

By way of opting in its DirecTV services, AT&T promises that the customers can save up to $600 in the first 12 months on basic packages. The savings will be higher on purchasing premier subscription packages.

DirecTV And AT&T

The standard rate of DirecTV services was $85 per month. Now, the company has decided to cut down this price for standard subscription. As of now, the basic DirecTV services are offered for just $50 per month on 12 months contract.

For those who are already subscribing to AT&T wireless service, the company has come up with offering a bundled package. Customers can save $10 outright if they subscribe to the $160 wireless package along with the basic DirecTV subscription. In other words, a customer will pay $540 less than they normally pay for the basic wireless and DirecTV subscriptions.

Meanwhile, the company has announced big up discounts on the subscription of high-end packages as well. DirecTV offers six different types of packages at the moment: Select, Entertainment, Choice, XTRA, Ultimate, and Premier. And it seems there are more to come.
