HughesNet® Gen5 Awarded Gold Stevie In American Business Awards

HughesNet Gen5 Project

HughesNet®, a global leader in broadband satellite services and networks, recently announced that HughesNet® Gen5 won the Gold Stevie Award in the category of Consumer Services in the 15th annual American Business Awards. The Gen5 project from HughesNet® is the first and only satellite internet service in the United States that offers broadband speeds exactly as set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which is 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds, from coast to coast.

The Gen5 internet service from HughesNet® offers faster speeds, increased data, and built-in Wi-Fi services for individuals and small businesses in the continental US and important areas in Alaska. The Gen5 service from HughesNet® is powered by the Hughes JUPITER™ System, which is the most widely deployed global satellite-networking platform operating over the EchoStar XIX satellite, which is the highest capacity broadband satellite of the world, and EchoStar XVII satellite, which was launched in 2012.

The American Business Awards is the premium business award program of the country and about 3,600 nominations from business and organizations of varying sizes submitted nominations this year in different categories. There were about 190 professionals in the judging panel to choose the Stevie Award winners of 2017.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as a Gold Stevie winner from the American Business Awards,” said Peter Gulla, Senior Vice President of marketing at HughesNet®. “With over 1 million subscribers, HughesNet is America’s #1 choice for satellite Internet. HughesNet® Gen5 builds upon this successful legacy and we are proud to bring fast, reliable high-speed Internet to people everywhere across America, no matter where they live or work.”

Subscriptions to the HughesNet® services are available via nationwide sales agents and dealers and through their website. “Each year the judges find the quality and variety of the nominations to be greater than the year before. The 2017 competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.

Hughes Network Systems® is one of the best internet providers of the country, and is a global leader in broadband satellite services for both home and business users. HughesNet® is their flagship high-speed satellite internet service, which is the largest satellite network in the world with more than a million residential and business users across Brazil and North America. Moreover, reports say that HughesNet® is also trying hard to be the fastest internet provider in the United States.
