The Dispute Between Dish Network And NFL Ends

NFL Back In Dish

The dispute between Dish Network and NFL Media over carriage fees finally came to an end. On August 3, both the companies announced that they have settled on an agreement about the carriage fees. This means that Dish Network packages subscribers can now access NFL Network and NFL RedZone channels in their Dish network channel guide. Furthermore, both the channels will be added to Sling TV, which enables the users to watch NFL through live streaming.

These NFL channels blacked out for approximately 50 days due to this dispute, and subscribers were really concerned about these channels being omitted from the Dish network channel list, as they broadcast all the NFL games. However, the end of this dispute will restore the channels and now subscribers can enjoy NFL games, which are scheduled to begin on September 8.

NFL Senior VP of Media Strategy and Development Hans Schroeder said, “We are pleased to see NFL Network and NFL RedZone back on DISH. This has been a thoughtful negotiation that resulted in a great outcome for our fans. DISH is an important distributor of NFL Network and NFL RedZone, and we are excited to expand our distribution to new fans on the fast-growing Sling TV platform.”

DIsh-NFL Dispute Ends

In reply to that, Warren Schlichting, Dish Network’s executive vice president of programming said, “These networks will give DISH and Sling TV customers the inside look at a favorite American pastime as we approach the NFL season.”

NFL network brings the exclusive coverage of NFL games and the pre-season games are also available in NFL network. The pre-season coverage will begin from August and NFL Network will provide the coverage of 65 pre-season games. In additional to that, Inside Training Camp Live coverage is also available through this network.

The exclusive live coverage of Thursday night football games and popular NFL related shows like NFL: A Football Life, GameDay Morning, and TIMELINE will also be broadcasted on NFL Network once the regular season starts. NFL Network has also added an additional Football show “Good Morning Football” where experts discuss about football games.

Dish Network subscribers can also access these channels through the NFL app on their smartphone, laptop, or tablet. Subscribers can also watch NFL games through Sling TV as these two channels will be added to Sling before the pre-season begins.
