Bridging the Divide in Smart Home Services\u201d on May 24. She will also address how the telecom industry can reach the goal of mass consumerization of the various smart and connected home services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cConsumers recognize the expansive possibilities inherent in smart home technologies, which allow them to leverage the same connectivity to stream a movie, control their thermostat, and secure the home,\u201d said Tom Kerber, Director of IoT Strategy, Parks Associates. \u201cCONNECTIONS explores the full range of possibilities for companies active in the connected home, including ways the industry can move beyond first-time buyers to achieve mass-market adoption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Statistics prove that about twenty-six percent of the broadband households in the US make use of at least one smart home device. However, these devices are bought as standalone and the users expect the devices to work together. It is forecasted by Park Associates that by 2020, the annual revenue from smart home controllers will be more than 1.3 billion US dollars.
