In addition to that, they also wanted access to the complaint files and several other records of the telecom company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lexington Chief Administrative Officer, Sally Hamilton, recently informed the cable company about the number of complaints they have been receiving about Charter Communications<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> and Spectrum<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. Reports indicate that these complaints contained information about widespread rate hikes by the telecom company. Additionally, some customers also complained about the termination of about 56 customer service employees at Charter\u2019s Lexington office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The letter said, \u201cThe city is left wondering what abuse will be heaped upon it next by Charter-Spectrum.\u201d One of the leading internet providers in the country, Charter Communications<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, which is currently operating as Spectrum<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> offers cable, internet, and telephone services to several customers in the city. This is the second letter sent by the city of Lexington to the telecom company demanding answers on the complaints regarding their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/charter-phone\/\">unreliable customer service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The city had earlier sent letters to both Charter Communications<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> and Spectrum<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> asking the telecom company to react to a number of problems reported by Fayette County cable customers. The telecom giant responded to this issue by June 5 and the letter sent by the company guaranteed the city that \u201cquality customer service is of the utmost importance to Charter<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1960\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1960\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1960\" class=\"wp-image-1960 size-medium\" title=\"Unreliable Customer Service.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/DirecTV-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Best Internet\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/DirecTV-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/DirecTV-1.jpg 604w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1960\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong>Low-Cost Internet Service <\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to that, the letter from Charter Communications<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> also highlighted some initiatives started by the telecom company has in the Lexington area including the construction of 860 outdoor Wi-Fi hotspots, $3.1 million in infrastructure improvements, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/el-paso-subscribers-welcome-spectrum\/\">launch of the low-cost internet service<\/a> for low-income residents in the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The letter also notified the city that the telecom company would be providing more information regarding their Lexington call center and their location on Palumbo Drive \u201cin the near future.\u201d The city had earlier signed a cable franchise agreement with Spectrum<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> and Charter Communications<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> back in the year, 2014.
