The service was launched before five months and Comcast<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is hoping to use the upcoming release of iPhone X from Apple to attract more people to sign up for the service. Xfinity<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Mobile has set a good example for the cable providers in the country. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/comcast-launches-50-more-outdoor-xfinity-wifi-hotspots\/\">Comcast<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> launched the wireless service<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in May 2017 and offered unlimited data for forty-five dollars per month to all the users who subscribe to their most expensive TV and internet bundles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Subscribers who do not have the high-end bundles will have to pay sixty-five dollars per month to have the unlimited data service of Xfinity<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Mobile. Comcast<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> also offers a wireless data plan for twelve dollars per gigabyte of data. One important point is that the service is available only to the existing <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/comcast-corporation-to-offer-improved-internet-speed-to-subscribers\/\">subscribers of Comcast<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a><\/strong><\/span>. A Comcast<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> executive said that their service now has more than a quarter of a million users.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOur newest connectivity business, Xfinity<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Mobile, really highlights the value of our broadband service by bundling access to the best high-speed internet data with a unique wireless offering,\u201d Comcast<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> CEO Brian Roberts said in their quarterly earnings call. \u201cWe are pleased with the early results, surpassing 250,000 customer lines in a short period of time since our launch in May, and we are poised to scale the product from here.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1957\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1957\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1957\" class=\"wp-image-1957 size-medium\" title=\"Bundled Package Offering\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/HughesNet-Internet-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Cable Providers\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/HughesNet-Internet-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thetripleplay.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/HughesNet-Internet.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1957\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong>Unique Wireless Offering<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a massive wireless market, Xfinity<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Mobile remains a small player. However, they plans to grow their wireless subscriber base and believes that this service offer them a chance to monetize users who already pays for their traditional offerings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWell, I like our wireless strategy a lot. Wireless revenue is going backwards for a couple of companies that reported, and cash flow is the same,\u201d Roberts noted. \u201cSo that&#8217;s a business where we have 0% market share. And so as we begin, and 250,000 subs is a great achievement, but its 250,000 subs, so we&#8217;re very small. We&#8217;re using wireless to help our very valuable broadband business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Comcast<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> CEO further added, \u201cYou can only get wireless if you take our broadband. And it&#8217;s an extension of our broadband to what I was just commenting on earlier.
