Reports from AT&T show that they have invested over three billion dollars in their Illinois wired and wireless networks during 2013 to 2015. The company says that the investments have helped to offer many upgrades to reliability, speed, and coverage of their services to home and business users in the rehion. These investments have also helped to improve critical services supporting public safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re committed to providing our customers fast, reliable, highly secure connectivity throughout the state. We want them to be able to access the Internet at any moment, from almost any device and anywhere,\u201d said Paul La Schiazza, President of AT&T Illinois. \u201cOur continued investment in Chicago, the suburbs and downstate brings a host of new, innovative opportunities for Illinois residents and businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Congressman John Shimkus, this is a great initiative by AT&T for the betterment of the state. \u201cIn order for Illinois to continue to thrive and serve its residents, it is important that we have companies willing to invest in our state to bring innovation and opportunity. Private investment in communications networks helps provide residents and businesses the tools to compete and grow,\u201d Shimkus said.<\/p>\n
