CenturyLink® Plans To Offer Faster Broadband Speeds To Three Million Users

Centurylink® Price For Life

CenturyLink® has already deployed faster broadband speeds to one million plus small businesses and homes this year and they are planning to offer faster speeds to about two million more customers by the end of the year. Half of those businesses and homes will now have access to internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

In connection with the faster speeds, they are also providing the residential users CenturyLink® Price For Life high-speed internet service with a monthly subscription rate that will not change as long as the user stick on with the same plan without any change in address. CenturyLink® Price For Life has three plans offerings: 20 Mbps, 40 Mbps, and 100 Mbps internet speeds, and the service is online only. Users can opt for the service without the need to bundle any TV or home phone packages. More details on the service is available on the official website of CenturyLink®.

The investment of CenturyLink® in their local networks across the nation is helping them to offer broadband speeds ranging from 40 Mbps to 100 Mbps and up to 1 Gbps speed in some areas. Moreover, CenturyLink® has expanded their broadband network to some of the rural communities offering download speeds of at least 10 Mbps and upload speeds of 1 Mbps in those areas that are identified eligible to for the Connect America Fund (CAF) of Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

New Broadband Technology

“CenturyLink® is committed to improving the lives of our customers by connecting them to the power of the digital world; that’s why we’re investing in new broadband technology and offering customers a fair and straightforward monthly rate for high-speed internet service,” said Maxine Moreau, the president of consumer markets for CenturyLink®. “Our deployment of faster broadband speeds in big cities as well as small towns helps CenturyLink® connect its customers to the things that matter most to them.”

As per the recent studies, an average household in the United States has at least five devices that are connected to the internet and about one in five homes have ten or more devices connected to the internet. The major internet providers and experts in telecommunications claim that these numbers will rise in the near future. Therefore, CenturyLink® is deploying faster broadband speeds to help all their customers cop up with the demands of the connected devices.
