Faribault Location Of Charter Is Closed

Charter Communications

Charter Communications has closed their location in Faribault. However, the decision was taken “after careful and thoughtful consideration,” said Kimberly Noetzel, who is the senior manager of communications in the central Minnesota office of Charter.

“[That included] analysis of customer transactions and access to other nearby locations. Traffic at this location was relatively low, with more and more customers taking advantage of alternate payment/service options such as by phone or online,” Noetzel added.

Reports say that the Charter location at 1400 Cannon Circle was closed on Nov 18. This move from Charter comes after the integration with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. These companies combined to form Charter Communications and the companies will be marked under Spectrum brand name.

Charter Communications posted an announcement for the newly acquired customers, which was shared in a Charter news release. In the announcement, Charter CEO Tom Rutledge explained the approach of the company and what their customers can expect, both long-time and newly acquired ones.

“At Spectrum, we are working hard to redefine what a cable company can be. You will soon have access to the most advanced, fiber-rich network in the nation,” Rutledge said. “In addition to improving service and reliability, we believe you deserve the best possible customer service, which is why we’re bringing over 10,000 outsourced customer service jobs back to the United States.”

With the closure of the Faribault location, the closest locations include Lakeville and Owatonna. Noetzel said in an email message that the closure move did not transfer any of the employees of Charter and that the move would not affect its boots-on-the-ground response.

“Charter’s technical operations team continues to serve the Faribault community just as it always has, and our 24/7 customer service operation is ready to serve,” Noetzel said. “Charter is committed to offering the highest-quality services to our customers in Faribault and customer service remains a top priority.”

It is to be noted that Charter Communications is facing competition from many of the online video streaming service providers like Hulu, Netflix, Sling, and PlayStation Vue, as these services offer a reasonably priced TV viewing option. This might be a reason why Charter Communications is planning for such big changes.
