Comcast® Offers Doubled Speed For Utah Users Free Of Charge

Comcast® recently announced that they have more than doubled the data speed of one of their cheap internet offerings for the existing customers in Utah. They had also increased the speed for their existing customers in Houston before doing the same for Utah. The Performance 25 offering from Comcast®, rebranded as Performance Plus, now offers the users a download speed of about 55 Mbps.

Comcast® said that the full monthly price of the tier would be same between sixty and sixty five dollars per month. The company added that most of the users would just need to restart their modems to avail improved speeds. “We’ll continue to invest in our network and offer the fastest speeds because we want our customers to enjoy the best possible online experience,” said Ralph Martinez, who is the senior vice president of Comcast® in the Houston region.

In the state of Utah also, Comcast® is doubling the speeds of their Performance 25 cheap internet offering for the existing users at no extra charges. Users will now be able to enjoy increased download speeds of up to 55 Mbps on the Performance Plus tier as the latest speeds are effective now.

“We’ve increased speed for nearly every year for the last 16 years,” said Merlin Jensen, Area Vice President of Comcast®, Utah market. “We want to ensure that our customers have the best possible online experience and the ability to have a connected home so customers can enjoy multiple devices at the same time.”

Personalized Wifi Service

Comcast® had launched Xfinity® xFi recently, which is a personalized WiFi service that offers a digital dashboard for the users that can help them set up home Wi-Fi network, see the list of all the connected devices, find passwords, troubleshoot network problems, set parental controls, or pause access to WiFi during dinner or bedtime. Comcast® said that the xFi service offers users with compatible gateway very good control and visibility.

In addition, most of the Xfinity® users can also enjoy complimentary access to about seventeen million WiFi hotspots that are spread across the country. Users just need to select “xfinitywifi” from the list al all the available networks on their device and type in their XfinityID and password. Subscribers can find hotspots either by downloading the Xfinity® WiFi app or by visiting the hotspot finder map that is offered on the official website of Xfinity®.
