DirecTV Ready TV – Know The Compatible Television Models

Although there are quite a number of satellite service providers out there, DirecTV seems to have more customer base and popularity, thanks to the modern technologies it introduces on a regular basis. With DirecTV, you not only get channels in HD quality but also a number of additional features like facility for recording multiple programs, viewing program details, etc. After DirecTV was acquired by AT&T, a number of technological advancements have been added to the platform. These features are available with all pages ranging from DirecTV Family package to DirecTV Choice package.

One of the latest technologies added to DirecTV is RVU. This is a built-in feature, with which you can enjoy HD DVR functionality and DirecTV services without a receiver when you use it as an extra TV in your Genie HD DVR setup. If you are not using DirecTV Ready TV, you will need to use Genie Mini in order to access Genie HD DVR.

How To Know If My TV Has Been Configured Correctly To Use DirecTV Ready?

DirecTV ready is compatible with most of the latest television models. Here is a list of TVs where you can access DIRECTV Ready feature.

Samsung

It seems that Samsung has the more number of TV models that are compatible with DirecTV Ready feature. All smart TVs introduced by Samsung in 2012 and later are compatible with DirecTV Ready. However, the some of the Smart TV models introduced in 2014 seem to have compatibility issues. These models include 5201, 5203, 6201, and 6203 series. All Samsung TVs introduced later, including J6300, J5500, J550D, and J630D, are compatible with DIRECTV Ready.

Toshiba

DirecTV Subscription

Toshiba’s 55L7400U, released in 2014, is compatible with DirecTV Ready feature.

LG

LG too has many models compatible with DirecTV Ready. This includes LB7200, LB7100, LB6500, LB6300, EC9300, (all released in 2014) and LF6300, EG9100 (both released in 2015).

Sony

Sony BRAVIA R550A and R520A series (released in 2013), Sony Bravia KDL-60R510A (released in 2014) and KDL-75W850C, KDL-65W850C, KDL-55W800C, KDL-50W800C (released in 2015) are compatible with DirecTV Ready.

With any of the aforementioned television models, you can access DirecTV Ready feature without any problems.
