Zocalo Community Development and Principal Real Estate Investors’ Coda in Cherry Creek property has recently announced that they will offer gigabit speeds to the property residents via Advanced Communities Network of Xfinity. Xfinity Communities is a unit of Comcast Corporation that offers fiber-based network solutions to residential and multifamily housing developments and properties.
CenturyLink and Lumiere Fiber announced of their gigabit internet services back in August. They said that gigabit internet would be offered to the residents of a master planned and mixed use community in northwest Douglas County. In addition, the state will be seeing further gigabit expansion by Comcast with Denver shown on a national map of planned projects at the website of the operator. Comcast Gigabit Pro is now available in Mile High city and offers 2 GBps speeds, but the pricing of three hundred dollars a month has kept many of the potential buyers away from the plan.
As per the reports, the new 182-unit Coda Cherry Creek property deal in Denver has a bulk agreement of seven years. “This investment in network infrastructure at the Coda property is a notable differentiator for us in the Denver area,” said Susan Maxwell, principal and COO at Zocalo Community Development. “Our building is registered for LEED Gold certification, making it one of the smarter and more sophisticated properties in the region.”

“With Xfinity Communities enabling us to offer gigabit speeds to residents as an additional amenity included in their monthly rent, we are providing the infrastructure needed to support smart home and environmental technology, which are two very important priorities in Colorado,” she added.
Advanced Communities Network from Xfinity is offering high-speed internet services through a fiber-to-the-unit deployment. The network also offers television, phone and Wi-Fi services.
“Over the past year, Xfinity Communities laid the groundwork to support gigabit speeds across the country, and with properties such as Coda coming online, our vision is being realized,” David Tashjian said, who is the VP of Comcast Mountain West Region, sales and marketing, explains. “Today’s multifamily properties expect a high level of technology services and increasingly see internet speed as a competitive advantage.”
