HughesNet Internet Service

High Speed Internet

One of the leading providers of spacecraft systems and innovative satellites, Space Systems Loral (SSL) and Hughes Network Systems has announced that their EchoStar XIX satellite has finally arrived at Florida’s Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

SSL designed the EchoStar XIX satellite exclusively for Hughes Network Systems, who is one of the subsidiaries of EchoStar Corporation. After the launch, EchoStar XIX will become the highest capacity broadband satellite in the world. In addition to that, the launch of this satellite will increase the capacity for HughesNet satellite Internet service in the regions of North America.

Reports also indicate that EchoStar XIX satellite will join with SPACEWAY 3 and EchoStar XVII in order to power the growth of HughesNet, which has become the country’s number one choice for satellite internet services. Moreover, the cable and home phone services offered by HughesNet are also excellent.

According to President of SSL, John Celli, “SSL and Hughes have a long term collaborative relationship that has helped to expand the limits of satellite technology. We worked closely to develop one of the world’s highest capacity satellites on orbit today and it has been our pleasure to further advance satellite’s capability with EchoStar XIX, which will bring the benefits of quality, high-speed internet service to families and businesses.”

Analysts have stated that EchoStar XIX satellite will offer more capacity than its predecessor, EchoStar XVII, which was also designed by the SSL and launched in the year 2012. It is also expected that EchoStar XIX will ensure that the future generation of HughesNet will have more data, more speed, and more advanced feature for both small businesses and consumers.

EchoStar XIX is pretty much similar to the EchoStar XVII satellite. It is a huge multi-spot beam Ka-band satellite, which is based on the SSL 1300 platform. This platform has the ability to support a wide range of technological advance and many applications. SSL has already built almost 50 satellites through the HTS payloads and that includes two of the highest capability broadband satellite, which is available in service.

President of Hughes, Pradman Kaul, said, “SSL has been an innovative and reliable partner in the expansion of our highly advanced satellite fleet. EchoStar XIX will provide us with added capacity to meet the burgeoning demand for HughesNet high-speed satellite Internet service and we look forward to next month’s launch with great anticipation.”
