Cable TV Alternatives

Deal With Zee

With the introduction of the Zee channels to Sling TV, they are planning to increase their user base and with access to exclusive content for the South Asian users, they can achieve their goal in the long term. Dish TV has not yet reported the numbers of Sling TV users separately, but it is reported that the streaming service is widely accepted by the users. The user base of the service is steadily increasing and it is estimated that there are 600,000 monthly users for the service.

Sling TV service is cheaper when compared to other cable TV alternatives and this is the reason the service attracts many users. The service is planning to expand the user base with the addition of new packages. The only issue here is that Sling TV is attracting the customers of Dish Network channels, who are looking for cheap alternatives to pay TV. This does not mean that there are no new users for the Sling TV services though. As per the latest reports, majority of the subscribers to Sling TV are new and this is a positive sign for the future growth of the service.
