Best Internet Providers

Charter – Comcast Partnership

As more subscribers have started to follow the trend of “cutting the cord” on traditional cable television, companies who sell these services are forced to offer a wide range of products to win their customers back. Two of the best internet providers in the country, Charter Communications and Comcast Corporation, are also trying to lure in more customers towards their offerings by entering into a partnership.

The recent collaboration between the telecom giants will offer better data and cellular telephone services in the United Stated. The officials from both the companies have already confirmed that they will be providing wireless service to their customers all over the country.

Several other satellite and cable companies in the country are currently offering broadband and landline telephone services as part of their bundled packages. However, AT&T is offering a quad-play service, which enables their customers to subscribe to a landline, broadband, television, and wireless service.

Reports indicate that both Charter and Comcast are trying to retain their subscribers who love to watch TV content over the internet. However, the wireless sector has become a lot more competitive lately with the unlimited data offering from Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. The unlimited data offering from these companies is also able to retain customers.

In a recent statement, Comcast chairman and chief executive, Brian L. Roberts said, “Both of our companies have regional wireless businesses using the same 4G LTE network, and by working together, our goal is to create even better experiences for our customers.”

Reports further say that Comcast is planning to offer their new Xfinity Mobile wireless service for their existing broadband customers by the end of this month. The telecom company has also recently bought $1.7 billion in the wireless spectrum at a Federal Communications Commission auction to boost their service.

The chief executive of Charter Communications, Thomas M. Rutledge said, “By working with the team at Comcast, we cannot only speed Charter’s entry into the marketplace, it will also enable us to provide more competition and drive costs down for consumers at a similar national scale as current wireless operators.”

Officials from Charter also added that they are planning to offer seamless wireless service by the year 2018. The joint initiative from the telecom giants will definitely benefit subscribers, as they might be easily able to acquire a cheap internet deal. However, only time will tell how the collaboration fares for Comcast and Charter.
