Carrier Agreement Reached

Tribune broadcasting and Dish Network LLC have announced a long-term agreement on carriage and retransmission. This comprehensive agreement is made to solve disputes between the tow companies. A dispute was going on between Dish and Tribune over carriage charges and Tribune channels were taken off from the Dish Network packages as a result of the dispute.

As per the agreement made between Dish and Tribune, carriage of forty-two local television stations that are owned by Tribune Broadcasting will be restored to Dish Network channel guide. These channels include Colorado’s own channel 2 and FOX31 Denver.

“We want to thank our viewers and customers for their patience and support as we worked through this lengthy process. We’re pleased to move forward and again be able to provide the content of Tribune’s local stations and WGN America for years to come,” the companies said in a joint statement. The terms of the agreement are not yet disclosed by the companies.
