This is the first time that DirecTV is covering an event of such a magnitude. DirecTV Sports team will set up a base in Brazil to cover the entire event. There will be broadcasts of the competition items, and together with that, there will be two other dedicated 24-hour channels. Special edition programs will also be telecasted with the events. The top moments of the day will also be features on the special edition programs.

Technology will have an important role in the telecast. The users can live the experience with the interactive mosaic feature that shows eight screens in HD.
